340.000 étudiants passent l'examen d'entrée au IIT
C'est environ 340.000 étudiants qui vont plancher dimanche 13 avril, à travers tout le pays pour l'examen d'entrée aux fameux Indian Institute of Technology (Examen commun).
A Bangalore, c'est 2500 étudiants répartis sur 5 centres qui traiteront les trois sujets principaux (Physique, Chimie et Mathématiques).
L'année dernière 250.000 candidats se sont présentés pour le ITT-JEE, c'est donc une augmentation de 40% des prétendants. Des facteurs tels que un seuil moins élévé et augmentation des frais peuvent avoir été un sujet de préoccupation pour les étudiants.
About 3.4 lakh students will appear for the Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Exam-ination (IIT-JEE) acr-oss the country on Sunday seeking to enter the nation's seven prestigious IITs, the ISM, Dhanbad and IT-Varanasi.
About 2,500 stude-nts will write IIT-JEE at five centres in Bangalore. The main paper will comprise the three subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The examination is divided into two sections of three hours each.
Questions pertaining to the three core subjects will figure in both the sections.
Last year about 2.5 lakh students appe-ared for the IIT-JEE, while this year there’s a 40 per cent increase in the ranks of IIT aspirants. Factors like lower cut-off and fee hike may have been a cause of concern to students.
Ajay Arora, Dire-ctor, Triumphant Inst-itute of Management Education Institute said, “Each year, the pattern changes. Each subject is about 81 marks and the total marks is 243 for the entire paper.”
